Breaking the Social Norm

I chose to experiment with a world all too common for me. I soak up third sons, so bodily sounds at the dinner table atomic number 18 a constant. We are always telling them not to do that and if they do they go about into trouble. The norm, of course, is that you shouldnt pass gas or burp at the dinner table. Each of my three sons have a toy that makes an inappropriate noise; flatulence and burping. They were told that they could use there toy only twice during dinner. We tried these toys step forward in several locations. Once, at a fast fare restaurant; at a family dinner, that had about 15 family members at it. (I had the hosts permission) The third was at a family dumbfound down restaurant, a local Mexican restaurant that we frequent. I thought that if I didnt make a mother about it then neither would anyone else, not even my boys.





At our family dinner table, the baby, who is four, was the first one to use his toy, no one really cared, my aunt leaned over, told him it wasnt ok to do that at the dinner table. My middle son, who is 7, has the device that omits a smell. He went sulphur; of course all the kids started theoriseing things about the smell and express mirth about it. I got a few looks of disgust, and had there not been a bunch of people sitting at the table, Im sure something would have been said to me about him doing that at the table. Finally, my oldest who is 11, he has the burping device this time around, he resolved to use his as he was pushing his chair out to get up from the table. Again, the kids laughed, this time though people did say things.
