Police corruption is non something a police subdivision or the public wants to hear that is going on in their own town, however it does happen and there are a few theories as to why police corruption occurs. In some instances the gratuities might be expected when policies change and could causal agent problems, for example: At a convenience store a block away from a police department, the owner gave the officers free coffee and donuts every morning, the owner of the convenience store eventually sold the store to a new owner who would non continue this. When the officers went into the store after the new owner took oer and had expected to receive free coffee and donuts, when told that this was no eight-day a policy, several officers became upset, refused to pay for the items and when there was a sadness call from the store, the officers took their time answering the calls. In this case, the officers were upset that they could no longer receive free things because of the change in owners. The officers had numerate to expect the free things that when it changed they became angry with the new owner and did not perform their job like they were supposed to.
