Vahan Kenderian, the son of a wealthy and potent Armenian, never expected his life to anything than it had been for his past twelve historic period where he had everything a kid of his age could dream for, and the vanquish p bents he could wish for. But one day his acquire didnt return and disappears and in his homeland of Turkey the semipolitical climate changed during World War I Vhahan embarks on a journey that can only be described as a nightmare. Soldiers came to his house and shot two of his brothers in seem of him and his remaining family, his grandma is murder by a Turkish soldier, one of his sisters commits suicide rather than fall into the hands of the Turks, and he and his next older brother are forced to desert their mother and only living sister to avoid the depute of their father and brothers.
My recommendations for this book is to read it because it has a very arouse story that if you didnt like reading this book pull up stakes make you read it from the beginning until the end because of the good bend that the author did to build up the suspension in you that it lead make you read it although the story is sad the end gives you an approximation of what could happen after you already finished the book from the cover charge to the bottom.




I think this book is one of the greatest books I have ever read because of how it makes you feel like you are really on the book and that you are the protagonist and you compliments to find a way out of the problem that Vahan is in or sometimes you feel the pressure that the character feels when his severe to escape from some place that he is in and doesnt like how the conditions are for him or the other people that are with him on the same place. My least favorite part was when Vahans grandma went to drink water on a lake extensive of drained people and then a Turkish soldier smack her on the back of the head and she drop dead on the lake she was drinking from.
