Cheerleading as a Sport

Sean fox said we may make it look easy, only if like all brags it takes hard work and dedication. I know that some of you may not take this put on on the subject, but Im here to insure you that cheer-leading is much more then the peppy popular girls in short skirts. (LINK) Like I said earlier I have cheered for the past 8 years and along with comforting I have played on the flag-football team for 3 years, ran track for 2 years, and was on the weightlifting team for 2 years. I have done what people to be considered reliable sports..i know what kind of hard work and dedication it takes to be successful in any of those sports, and the same goes with cheer leading. I know first hand that the cheerleaders work hard, just as hard as the volleyball or basketball team. So why is it then that most people dont opine it is a sport.?
